A few of you have asked how to send stuff to me, weather it’s a post card, letter, or a care package! I’m so touched and am more than happy to share how you can send stuff to me 🙂 Everything tends to get here in roughly 4-5 weeks.

Ideas for Care Packages
- Granola bars (especially ones with protein)
- Beef Jerky (protein, right?)
- Mixed nuts (more protein, I’m very protein focused here)
- Anything with chocolate, it might melt, but it’ll make my day!
- Peanut M&Ms (nuts with chocolate!)
- Cheddar/cheese flavored snacks or macaroni (cheese is hard to find here)
- Tuna packets
- Scented candles
- Water flavors – Gatorade powder, Liquid IV, Nuun etc.
- Camping food – just add hot water, right?
- Any snacks from Trader Joes
- Anything you send is guaranteed to put a smile on my face 🙂
Tips for Sending Packages
Print the address label from a computer (if possible) to make it official-looking. Packages with labels printed by hand do not always make it to their destination. If it is printed by hand, address it in red ink. This will make it less likely to be tampered with
Insure the package, even if it’s just granola bars.
Tape the box up really well after you seal it so no one can easily reach in or pull it open and steal the contents.
If sending food, please wrap and double wrap in plastic bags (ziplocs preferably, since they are reusable) to avoid rat infestation.
You will have to fill out a customs declaration form PS Form 2976-A. You can complete this form at the post office or online before you ship at https://webapps.usps.com/customsforms/. Indicate all contents as “Used” on the customs form to reduce the risk of theft.
On the Customs form, when listing the contents make them less appealing. In other words, downplay everything. For example, tell them you are sending me pencils or education materials and not expensive chocolate or soccer balls. If you’re sending books, magazines, DVDs, etc. you can mark it as “educational materials,” as it is less likely to be tampered with.
